I've been running against the wind,
And I've been through life's raging sea.
I once was young,
And I am older now.
I close my eyes,
And hear the whispers of my heart.
I see tears rolling down my heart,
And into my soul.
I saunter along this pavement,
With a petty pace.
I can see the road ahead,
As clear as daylight.
I have been showed the way, the light,
Time and time again,
I still fall by the wayside,
How ungrateful have I been?
I will not dwell in self-pity,
Nor the condemnation of my heart,
I pick up myself up from falling,
And run with the wind.
There is a place that is nearing,
Over the next hill and through the mountains,
There is no turning back,
I burn my bridges of my past.
Hold on, somehow.
With all my strength,
And with all my heart.
Don't let go.
Its not how you start the race,
Its how you end the race.
